Damn it, I overslept again
and my coffee's not strong enough
I stumble down the stairs and I almost trip
over stacks of disorderly stuff
Whenever I take my bike into town
it suddenly needs some repair
Could it be karma telling me to relax
first world problems would seem only fair

Life in general is not really my thing
so inertia takes the lead
And I already know what tomorrow will bring
'cause my life's constantly on repeat
Smiling is healthy, but it's awfully hard
on the wrong side of my mouth
It seems my daily drag is way off the chart
stop the clock, I need a time-out

I should handle my frustrations
with some relativity
If inadequate conditions
force me out of my routine
after all that's not so bad
'cause it livens up the scene

I've tried to fit in, but it's hard to blend
I'd only wreck the status quo
I'm an alien in no man's land
my morale is lower than low
For fun and excitement there is little demand
and the local pace is slow
The scope of boredom's getting out of hand
like seven Mondays in a row
